Standards

"Makovica a.d." implemented ISO 22000: 2005, OHSAS 18001: 2007 standards and HACCP food safety system in order to continuously monitor and reassess business processes, in order to ensure constant progress and expansion of the company. Certification was done by “Quality Austria” one of the leading European institutions for control and certification in the food industry. HACCP standard (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a system for identifying, evaluation and control of the hazards which can be important for food safety. After being published by the “World Health Organization” and after being used by the agricultural sector in Europe that made it a part of its regulation, HACCP has become the cornerstone of all food safety systems. It encompasses a series of procedures in all production processes, from input raw materials, handling, processing, and distribution. The benefit of certification of the HACCP system on the one hand consists in optimizing the implemented HACCP system, and on the other hand in confirming the fulfillment of the prescribed obligations and efficient monitoring of the risk of the emergence of food safety hazards. The most important benefit is an increase in confidence in the guaranteed food safety for both wholesale customers and end consumers.
